About CA

Hello, my name is Tyora Moody (nickname: Ty). I’m a writer, graphic designer, online book promoter, and an all-around encourager with a deep love for God.

Cookie Aisle is my personal blog about my Christian journey, my trials and thoughts.  I also run a series periodically about Connecting to God.

I was blessed to grow up in such a way that creativity was encouraged. I think creativity is a gift God gives to connect to him.  As an only child for about seven years, I learned to make good use of my time. I’m not sure when I discovered I liked to write, but I had my first journal around the age of 14. I’m the classic introvert so writing became like drinking water to me as I expressed my thoughts on paper. I often write to find my way back to God when I get off track.

I also enjoy reading and writing Christian Fiction. I completed two manuscripts, one a romantic suspense and the other a cozy mystery.  Read about publishing journey  at  TyoraMoody.com.

What you will find on Cookie Aisle?

In recent years, I have developed the habit of reading the nutrition labels on food before purchasing. We need to be aware of what’s going into our bodies, especially if you are like me. I’m prone to purchasing food items that are not that good for me, but boy do they taste good.

On Cookie Aisle you will find some of my recent devotions, bible studies, and articles. Through my studies and musings, I hope to encourage you to fill up on what’s REALLY good for you.

What’s Up with the Blog Name?

DollOk, if you read this far, you are probably wondering when is she going to mention how she came up with this ODD Web site name and concept. Well, it’s nothing brilliant. I love sweets and by far my favorite sweets to eat are COOKIES! The cookie monster and me have a lot in common. The obsession apparently started early in life because my favorite childhood doll was named … yes … Cookie.

Now that I’m getting up in age, I literally force myself to avoid the cookie aisle in the grocery store. The cookies seem to call my name. If a package happens to make its way in the shopping cart and on the way home … let’s just say … the term “You can’t eat just one” does not only go for potato chips.

The great thing about God’s Word, you don’t have to run from it. Feeding on His Word and gaining spiritual pounds is a good thing. You can “taste and see that the Lord is good” without any repercussions. As a matter of fact, the rewards are limitless. Can I get an AMEN?
