In Pursuit of the Perfect Gift

It’s time to find the perfect gift! Some people actually live for this time of year when the crowds are out in massive numbers and available parking seems to be miles away. I prefer to do my shopping early, but as usual I have managed to get behind. A long time ago I learned to budget, use the debit card and leave the credit cards alone. Nothing is more depressing than having more bills than you can afford to pay in January. Read more
Connecting with God | Sonya Visor
Sonya Visor, author of Who I’ve Become is NOT Who I Am
I have to be with God early in the morning! Why? Because working a full time job, taking care of my home, helping my son (run errands) pastoring duties and let’s not forget writing – I have to get God in first or I won’t. I could do it, but I don’t believe it would be quality time. Because once I place my head on that pillow – I’m out. (view full interview)
Connecting with God | Rene Gutteridge

It’s like eating. If I don’t take the time to do it I eventually get hungry and weak and cranky. I keep a steady diet going by staying in my Word. (view full interview)
Sandra J. Scott, author of Devil’s Advocate: To Be or Not
I try to connect with God whenever I can – during the early morning right before I get out of bed – I just want to feel Him stir within me. I then connect with Him while dressing for work by tuning in to Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and listening to T.D. Jakes, Paula White Ministries and Joyce Meyer. On my drive back and forth from work (a 30 minute drive) I would either pray or listen to BOTT Radio and their ministry programs. My favorite stories of the Bible is the story of Joseph (Genesis – Old Testament), the story of Ruth (Book of Ruth – Old Testament), and the life story of King David (Books of Chronicles, Samuel), I love reading different sections of the Bible because it is filled with so many intriguing novel-style stories. My favorite uplifting passages are the chapters of Isaiah 60 and Deuteronomy 6. I try to read these specific passages at least once a day. (view full interview)
Author Cookie Swap
It’s December 1st and it is about that time to look over the budget for Christmas gifts. For the past three years or so I have been making homemade gifts or rather home-baked gifts. Gingerbread and sugar cookies are always on the menu. Last year I added apple and sweet potato pies to the mix. I’ve been thinking about trying out some new cookie recipes this year. Well, during my blog hopping today, I stumbled upon a real treat!
Visitors can learn about an author and try out a new cookie recipe. Over at SORMAG’s blog, the editor LaShuanda Hoffman is posting an Author Cookie Swap.
